Tryon Fine Arts Center presents the fifth annual “Chase Away the Blues” featuring five bands in three indoor venues with non-stop blues on Feb. 20 from 5:30 – 11 p.m.

Main Stage

6 p.m.: Brandon Turner & Freddie Vanderford

Piedmont Blues and a History of the Blues

 

7 p.m.: Riyen Roots and Kenny Dore

Organic acoustic blues and soul

 

8 p.m.: Chuck Beattie (aka “Dr. Blues) & Band

Chicago Style Blues

 

9:20 p.m.: Stolen Hearts Duo – Pam Taylor & Robert Johnson Jr.

Charlotte Sensation – Southern Soul & Blues

 

10:40 p.m.: Jam with all of the players

Mahler Room

7-9 p.m.: Main Stage acts playing in small club setting

Lobby

5:30 – 8:30 p.m.: Max Hightower, Shane Pruitt & Jim Peterman

Playing 15 minute sets in between Main Stage Acts
