Hugh Shaver’s “Exemplar”

Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Sculpture 2015, a juried regional sculpture exhibition and sale, will be open for one final day on Saturday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This diverse, acclaimed show features 45 works from artists from Western and Central North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.  There was $2,000 in prize money awarded for the winning pieces. The juror for this biennial event was Harry McDaniel of Asheville, and local artists Dale McEntire and Dale Weiler were the exhibit’s co-chairs.

Tryon Fine Arts Center, 34 Melrose Ave., will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holidays this week on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26 and 27, and Sunday, Nov. 29.  The gallery and box office will be open on Saturday, Nov. 28.
