Green Creek Fire Rescue to hold open house

Green Creek Fire Rescue would like to invite everyone to come out to the fire station located at the corner of Hwy. 9 and Green Creek Dr. Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. for an open house.

October is National Fire Prevention Month and we have decided to invite everyone to come out and learn about fire prevention, safety, emergency services and 9-1-1.

Planned activities include: Fire extinguisher demonstration (Thanks to Columbus Fire Rescue for providing the Fire Extinguisher Training Simulator); Children’s fire safety house (Thanks to Sunny View Fire & Rescue for providing the fire safety house); Vehicle extrication demonstration; Polk County Fire Marshal Bobby Arledge will be discussing emergency preparedness and planning; Door prizes; Sparky the fire dog; Many more children’s activities.
