The delicious array of food served at the Taste of Our Carolina Foothills is complemented by music and a diverse setting of food and beverage related businesses. From 1 – 5 p.m., guests taste and sip their way through an intimate afternoon when visiting a combination of 40-plus local restaurants, bakeries, cheese makers, caterers and food artisans from North and South Carolina. Local wineries, craft beer makers and distilleries share the spotlight with the food.

The inaugural event in 2014 drew nearly 500 guests with tickets selling out prior. This year, ticket offerings have increased and are available at online at eventbrite.com.

Our Carolina Foothills, Inc. is an initiative to incorporate the rich history and unique tourist opportunities present within four towns in two states that share one community. OCF works to educate the public on the towns of Landrum, S.C. and Tryon, Columbus, and Saluda, N.C. while enhancing the quality of life for its residents and visitors through marketing campaigns and events that highlight the unique area. Organizers have special events underway like southern heritage culinary tours and seasonal progressive dinners that pair local vintners with chefs and the region’s agricultural history. Coming soon is the Art of the Horse, an installation art project designed to incorporate the region’s equestrian heritage and strong artistic presence.
