Golf tournament benefit for Brian Kuykendall

A benefit golf tournament will be held for Brian Kuykendall on Aug. 15 at Red Fox Country Club.

Kuykendall, of Landrum, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. Kuykendall is married to Tammy Kuykendall and they have two sons, Kaleb and Dalton.

The tournament is designed for teams with spots mostly filled up already. Sponsorships for holes are still available as well as donations.

The registration deadline to participate in the tournament is Aug. 7.

The tournament begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Red Fox Country Club, located at 77 Club Rd., Tryon.

Food and drinks will be available for sale, with all proceeds going to Kuykendall.
