Tryon Hounds to host Boots, Shoot & Boogie May 30 at FENCE; BBQ, square dance to be held after cowboy mounted shooting event

The Tryon Hounds will host Boots, Shoots, and Boogie at the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center( FENCE) this Saturday, May 30 immediately following (5:30 p.m.) the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Event. The event will be under the Gordon Wright Pavilion and will feature music by the Five Cents Band, a square dance and barbecue dinner with all the fixings.

Cowboy Mounted Shooting, one of the fastest growing equestrian sports, is an exciting display of horsemanship and marksmanship Mounted contestants compete in this fast actioned timed event using two .45 caliber single action revolvers each loaded with five rounds of specially prepared blank ammunition.

The SC Mounted Shooters 7th Annual Border Wars will feature riders from Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and Virginia. The competition starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
