Anthony Cosmo Marino has been awarded a four-year Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship worth $184,048. Scholarships are awarded on a merit system based on test scores, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, physical fitness, leadership abilities and personal interviews. Scholarship recipients are enrolled as members of the ROTC Corps of Cadets. Mr. Marino will attend Furman University in Greenville, S.C.

The Army scholarship pays for full tuition and academic fees, includes an annual book allowance and pays a monthly stipend for up to 10 months of each school year. Furman University will in turn pay for room and board. Mr. Marino will be on a full ride scholarship to Furman University and will be a member of the Paladin Battalion.

Upon graduation from Furman University, and having completed all requirements of the ROTC program, Mr. Marino will receive a bachelor’s degree and a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army.
