Cardinals win 5-4 over Boiling Springs Monday

Published 3:22 pm Wednesday, April 1, 2015

In our ninth season of Landrum Middle School baseball, Monday’s 5-4 win over the visiting Boiling Springs Dogs was probably one of our top ten games.

Isaiah ‘Guate’ Adderholdt pitched a surperb game en route to picking up the win for our Cardinals, shutting down the Dogs’ bats. Michael Clark came in to close out the final inning of play holding the Dogs at bay.

Zander Steele, Cree Waters, and Chandler Carroll led the Big Red Birds with two hits each. Michael Clark, Brett Jackson, Noah Hutcherson and Joshua Johnson contributed one hit each.

Zander Steele scored two runs and Cole Williams, Noah Hutcherson and Chandler Carroll crossed the plate one time each. Cree Waters caught another fantastic game behind the plate for the Cardinals. Landrum improved its record to 4-2 at the midway point in our season.

Landrum’s next game is this Thursday when the Cardinals travel to Lockhart to avenge an earlier loss to the Red Devils in a 5 p.m. game. Thanks for your support.
