Polk County District Court results for Feb. 18 and 20

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 135 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Olga Lucia Bannister was convicted of level five driving while impaired and failure to stop at a stop sign/flashing red light. Bannister was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Charles S. Burlingame was convicted of impaired equipment. Burlingame was fined $40 and court costs.

Adam Scott Carroll was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Carroll was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for time served.

Marvin Lane Hebb was convicted of two counts of harassing phone calls. Hebb was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Rashad Brown Jordan was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Jordan was to pay court costs.

Javier Yuron Mason was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Mason was fined $25 and court costs.

Jackson G. Turnage was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Turnage was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

 

In Polk County District Court on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 90 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jimmie Berl Calloway was convicted of failure to wear seat belt-driver. Calloway was fined $25 and court costs.

Tyler Lee Cates was convicted of impaired equipment. Cates was fined $40 and court costs.

Michael Lee Clark was convicted of impaired equipment. Clark was fined $40 and court costs.

Ricky Anthony Flatford was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Flatford was fined $30 and court costs.

Eric Lee Gilbert was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Gilbert was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Michael Todd Hunsader was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Hunsader was fined $30 and court costs.

Rodney Cleffton Jackson was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Jackson was fined $30 and court costs.

Kathrine Jane Laughter was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21 and speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Laughter was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

James Clarence Lowe was convicted of misdemeanor child abuse and level one driving while impaired. Lowe was sentenced to one year supervised probation for child abuse and one year supervised probation, 30 days in jail with credit and court costs for driving while impaired.

Jason William McDonald was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. McDonald was fined $93 and court costs.

Silvio Luis Moura was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Moura was fined $75 and court costs.

Erica Ryanne Pettit was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Pettit was fined $30 and court costs.

Brian Lee Quisenberry was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Quisenberry was fined $30 and court costs.

Pavel Petrov Stepanov was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Stepanov was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.

Terry Douglas Tincher was convicted of impaired equipment. Tincher was fined $40 and court costs.

Quang Anh Tran was convicted of impaired equipment. Tran as fined $100 and court costs.
