Polk County District Court results, Jan. 26 and Jan. 28

During Polk County District Court on Jan. 26, 2015, with Judge C. Randy Pool presiding, 103 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

William Matthew Bridges was convicted of impaired equipment. Bridges was fined $40 and court costs.

Aaron Jamarl Mazyck was convicted of impaired equipment. Mazyck was fined $20 and court costs.

Jeffrey Walker Plotner was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Plotner was fined $30 and court costs.

Timothy Alan Warren was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Warren was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Litacha Linel Williams was convicted of impaired equipment. Williams was fined $100 and court costs.

During Polk County District Court on Jan. 28, 2015, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 161 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Stacey Baughman was convicted of communicating threats, second degree trespassing and simple assault. Baughman was sentenced to 11 days in jail.

Matthew Shannon Brown was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Brown was fined $98 and court costs.

Timothy Philip Bryant was convicted of carrying a concealed weapon. Bryant was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit and court costs.

David Jeffrey Byrd was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Byrd was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Carlton Edward Carson was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Carson was fined $25 and court costs.

Daniel Everett Haynes was convicted of spotlight deer/night deer hunt. Haynes was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $250 fine and court costs.

Tyler Matthew Hensley was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Hensley was sentenced to 19 days in jail with credit and court costs.

Robert Vance McGraw was convicted of simple affray. McCraw was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.

Florent Monssoh was convicted of impaired equipment. Monssoh was fined $40 and court costs.

Chastica Renee Murphy was convicted of impaired equipment. Murphy was fined $40 and court costs.

Steven Williams was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Williams was sentenced to 23 days in jail with credit and court costs.
