Thomas Truitt Walker, 85, of Tryon passed away November 25, 2014.  He was the son of the late Thomas Melvin and Shellona Honeycutt Walker and husband of the late Connie Greene Walker.  He was a member of Green Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Landrum Mills and Phillips Fibers.  He is survived by a son, Richard K. Walker of Hayesville, N.C. and a daughter, Phyllis W. Newman of Ayden, N.C.; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.  He was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm Friday, November 28, 2014 at Green Creek First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church conducted by Rev. Allen McKinney,  Dr. Larry Gregg and Rev. Jim Hooper.
