Merilyn “Tippy” Planas Thibodeaux, 82, of Spartanburg, died Oct. 5.  She is survived by her daughter, Ann Pearson (Rick) of Spartanburg; brother, Louie
Mauroner of Mandeville, La.; sister, Joycelyn McBride John of Campobello; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family.  Services were held Oct. 8, at United Methodist Church of the Covenant.
