The Landrum varsity girls defeated Pendleton in volleyball in three straight games Monday night:  25 to 12; 25 to 20; and 25 to17.  According to a Landrum coach, the girls “played with heart and played as a team.”

Landrum now has an overall record of eight wins and seven losses, with a region record of six wins and three losses.

Standouts include Kimberly Upton with seven kills and six aces; Kaylee Huntley, seven kills; Sydney Davis, nine kills; Ellie Ford, 15 digs; Logan Wright, nine digs; and Aubree Denton with 28 assists.

The team’s next home game is Monday, October 13.
