Alice Faye Moore, 66, of Chapel Hill, N.C., died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at her father’s residence in Rutherfordton, N.C.

She was the daughter of David “Jim” Albert Moore Sr. of Rutherfordton and the late Carolyn Hill Moore. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her brother David A. “Rod” Moore Jr. and sister-in-law Vonda Moore.

Alice was a member of Gray’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill as an administrative secretary until her retirement.

In addition to her father she is survived by numerous cousins.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Holly

Springs Senior Citizens Home with Rev. Caroll Flack officiating, a committal service followed at Gray’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 1:30-2 p.m. at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home. Memorials can be made to Gray’s Chapel United Methodist Church c/o Linda Shehan 1254 Gray’s Rd. Rutherfordton, N.C., 28139.
