The Pacolet Junior Appalachian Music program (PacJAM) is underway Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m. at Tryon Fine Arts Center.

“Classes are going great!” banjo teacher Corey Clark says. “My students are learning the basic rolls now and we’ll soon be putting them together in songs.”

PACJAM at Tryon Arts also has classes taught by fiddle-phenom Carley Arrowood and singing classes taught by outstanding local artist Gaye Johnson.  “There are eight more weeks in this semester ending on Nov. 12, but new enrollments are always welcomed,” says Program Director Rebecca Osteen.

It’s not too late to sign up for banjo classes at the Tryon Fine Arts Center.  Contact Marianne Carruth at 828-859-8322, ext 213, or email marianne@tryonarts.org.
