If you didn’t see Tryon Little Theater’s staging of the “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” this past weekend, you have another chance this coming Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and needless to say, you really don’t want to miss it.

All involved with this production have put in so much effort and countless hours of rehearsal, and the end result is a funny, risqué (at times), quirky and very whacky evening’s entertainment.  The audience will find themselves drawn into the performance – in more ways than one – rooting for their favorite contestant, and getting some insight into what motivates each of the “youngsters” to win first prize.

So, as the New York Times once wrote of the Broadway production:  “Can you spell irresistable? Drat!  I mean, irresistible?”  Find out by calling TLT’s box office828-859-2466 and reserving your ticket.  Support your local little theater and the talent of this area (actors, directors, musicians and crew) by cheering them on and appreciating their hard work and unflagging energy to bring performing arts to our little neck of the woods.
