The festival is from 5-9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30 on N. Trade St. in Landrum. Again, everything

is free, but please bring an item to donate to the backpack ministry.

The backpack ministry provides meals to children on free and reduced lunches in the

community. Each weekend, a child in need will be sent home from school with six meals

(breakfast, lunch, and dinner for Saturday and Sunday). This provides them with the necessary

food until they can get back to school on Monday. Donations are always accepted at the

Landrum Fire Department and Landrum City Hall. Items needed: individually packaged fruit

cups, snacks, bags of chips, ramen noodles, easy open cans of soup, spaghetti and ravioli,

dessert cakes, granola bars, individually packaged oatmeal and grits.
