Polk County Middle School will host an open house for all students and parents on Thursday, Aug. 21.

For students/ parents in grades seventh and eighth, open house will be held between 3-4:30 p.m. to meet the homeroom teacher and greet the other teachers of the school. Drop in anytime during that 1 ½ hours.

For sixth grade students / parents, open house will be held from 4:30-6 p.m.  In addition to meeting homeroom teachers  you will also be given locker assignment and lock. From 6-6:30 p.m. a meeting will be held in the auditorium for sixth grade students and parents. At that time information about the school will given including the starting of the school day and dismissal procedures, buses, cafeteria, attendance requirements and tips for parents concerning the transition from elementary to middle school. Parents of sixth graders are encouraged to attend this important meeting. The first day of school is Aug. 28.
