Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 136 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Richard Lee Davis was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Davis was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Robert Eugene Hill Jr. was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Hill was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Brian Stanford Hubbard was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Hubbard was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Desiree Fay Leach was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Leach was to pay court costs.
Kathryn M. McClendon was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. McClendon was to pay court costs.
William Justin Norton was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Norton was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Jayon Jatash Payne was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21 and consume alcohol by 19/20 year old. Payne was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Marshall Ross Jr. was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Ross was fined $30 and court costs.
Buddy Lee Smith was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Smith was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for time served.
Melisa Josefina Soto was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Soto was fined $40 and court costs.
Regina G. Valenzuela was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Valenzuela was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Regina G. Valenzuela was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Valenzuela was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 60 days in jail with credit for time served and a $400 fine.
Amanda Halbk Vanduyne was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Vanduyne was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
