The event is geared for all ages. The audience will enjoy a fun Q and A session about the world of opera, and will even get to come to the stage to participate in the show.
GLOW produces a two-week summer music festival at The Peace Center’s Gunter Theater in downtown Greenville. GLOW also operates a School of Music and Drama for students of all ages throughout the year, as well as a Summer Musical Theater Camp. As a nonprofit, GLOW strives to instill an appreciation of theatre, musical theatre and operetta within the community’s youth in order to ensure the continued success and knowledge of light opera for future audiences.
GLOW’s Founder and Artistic Director Jenna Tamisiea has taught musical theater at Tryon Fine Arts Center and directed TLT’s Summer Youth productions of Seussical in 2012 and Willy Wonka in 2013.
This free event is open to the public and is the second in a series of Sunday afternoon community events to be held outside at TFAC, thanks to a Polk County Community Foundation Free Event Grant. The program will move indoors in case of rain. Please call 828-859-8322 for information or visit www.tryonarts.org .
