Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 167 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Harley Ryan Boone was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Boone was sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for five days and court costs.
Eric Caryle Brown was convicted of possession of stolen goods. Brown was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
John David Christopher was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Christopher was fined $100 and court costs.
Julian Alexis Fuentes was convicted of speeding 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. Fuentes was fined $10 and court costs.
Linda Blackwell Gifford was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Gifford was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Michael D. Korzeniewski was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Korzeniewski was fined $90 and court costs.
Kelly Michael Mahoney was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Mahoney was fined $30 and court costs.
Diana Mejia-Castillo was convicted of driving while license revoked not impaired revocation. Mejia-Castillo was fined $50 and court costs.
Anthony Lee Miller was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Miller was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Haley Jordan Pasco was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Pasco was fined $50 and court costs.
Tamba C. Poindoe was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Poindoe was sentenced to nine days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
Samantha G. Sellars was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Sellars was fined $40 and court costs.
