Polk County District Court results for April 9, 2014

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 154 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Jennifer Dee Adams was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Adams was fined $100 and court costs.
Cary Len Boggs was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone, no operator’s license and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Boggs was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
Denise Sanders Boggs was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Boggs was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
Matthew Bryan Burroughs was convicted of common law uttering. Burroughs was sentenced to 70 days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
Lauren Chelsey Crawford was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Crawford was fined $30 and court costs.
Stuart Lewis Cummings was convicted of speeding 54 mph in a 45 mph zone. Cummings was fined $95 and court costs.
Joseph Robert Cunha was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Cunha was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail with credit and court costs.
Christopher Ellison-Norris was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Ellison-Norris was fined $40 and court costs.
Myles Randall James was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. James was fined $40 and court costs.
Melinda Johnson was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Johnson was fined $90 and court costs.
Rena Miniard Johnston was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Johnston was fined $60 and court costs
Nicholas Wesley Jolley was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Jolley was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
James Michael Manenski was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Manenski was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Keith A. McGough was convicted of level five driving while impaired. McGough was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Brandon D. Mullins was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Mullins was fined $30 and court costs.
Eric Berie Nelon was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and resisting public officer. Nelon was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Crystal Darlene Owensby was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Owensby was sentenced to 120 in jail.
Krystal Darlene Owensby was convicted of felony probation violation. Owensby was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Taliaferro J. Petoia was convicted of failure to stop at stopsign/flashing red light. Petois was to pay court costs.
Eric Joseph Proctor was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Proctor was fined $96 and court costs.
Laura Smits Reddick was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Reddick was fined $40 and court costs.
Brittany Lauren Smythe was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Smythe was fined $60 and court costs.
Grace M. Stelling was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Stelling was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Tana Deann Tapp was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Tapp was to pay court costs.
Sharon Davis Wells was convicted of failure to stop at stopsign/flashing red light. Wells was fined $30 and court costs.
