The South Carolina middle school drop-dead rule once again played a big role in a big game. Tuesday, April 1 at Landrum Middle School, Landrum held a one run lead into
the seventh inning. The Mabry Cubs pushed across three runs in the top
and the Cardinals had two outs on them in the bottom
when time was called. Thus, reverting back to the score of
the previous inning (sixth), which was 1-0 in favor of LMS.
Dalton Kuykendall was stellar on the mound pitching a no-hitter for the Cardinals including three put outs. He also scored the only run in the game during the first inning. Cree Waters
caught a great game behind the plate. Kuykendall had two hits and Adam Powell and Chandler Carroll each had a hit.
