Saluda Elementary School will present their Science Fair and Festival on March 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
This event is part of the 2014 North Carolina Science Festival, an initiative of Morehead Planetarium and Science Center.
Saluda Elementary was selected to receive a Folt Science Night kit thanks to a generous gift from an anonymous donor. Seventy-five schools across the state were offered kits this year.
At Saluda Elementary, the event will include a display of traditional student-produced science projects, multiple opportunities for hands-on science activities including making a “Garden in a Glove” and a “Sound Sandwich,” and will conclude with a presentation of “Science Shenanigans” by KidSenses Interactive Children’s Museum.
“The North Carolina Science Festival is about communities coming together to celebrate the wonders of science,” said Jonathan Frederick, NCSF director. “Thanks to the talents of our event hosts across the state, there’s something for everyone.”
