Polk district court results from Feb. 19 and Feb. 24 sessions

Feb. 19, 2014 session:

In Polk County District Court on Feb. 19, 2014, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 206 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Billy Joe Clayton II was convicted of failure to comply with monies, break or enter a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny. Clayton was sentenced to 24 months  probation and court costs.

Caleb Byron Conner was convicted of failure to comply with community service. Conner was sentenced to 24 hours in jail.

Daniel Raymond Dennis was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Dennis was fined $100 and court costs.

Lamont Edgerton was convicted of no operator’s license. Edgerton was to pay court costs.

Christopher Fontaine was sentenced to level four driving while impaired. Fontaine was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 31 days of credit.

Shane Andrew Gowan was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and fictitious information to officer. Gowan was sentenced to 21 days in jail with credit for time served.

Gary Junior Hannon was convicted of cancelled/revoked/suspended certification/tag. Hannon was fined $25 and court costs.

Kyndra L. Hildebrand was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Hildebrand was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.

Kai Ane Jerrell was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Jerrell was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Ronald William Katz was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Katz was fined $150 and court costs.

Richard Wade Knight was convicted of unsafe movement. Knight was fined $90 and court costs.

Zangenenth K. Mehrdad was convicted of speeding 102 mph in a 65 mph zone. Mehrdad was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $102 fine and court costs.

Rachel Nicole Morris was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Morris was fined $100 and court costs.

Chad Allen Russell was convicted of speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zone. Russell was fined $25 and court costs.

Alfred Sellers III was convicted of intoxicated and disruptive. Sellers was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Ty Joseph Wafford was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Wafford was fined $90 and court costs.

Claudia E. Whitworth was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Whitworth was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $50 fine and court costs.

Meghan Anne Yaggi was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Yaggi was fined $100 and court costs.

Frances Elaine Young was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Young was fined a $50 impaired equipment fee, a $40 fine and court costs.

 

Feb. 24, 2014 session:

In Polk County District Court on Feb. 24, 2014 with Judge Athena Brooks presiding, 50 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Joseph Kyle Bennett was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Bennett was fined $40 and court costs.

Craig Alan Guess Jr. was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Guess was fined $10 and court costs.

Alyssa Brooke Ivey was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Ivey was fined $40 and court costs.

Francis Andrea Murillo was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment. Murillo was fined $40 and court costs.

Jacob Taylor was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Taylor was fined $100 and court costs.

Charles Wade Steiner was convicted of felony probation violation. Steiner was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
