Meredith McSherry of Spartanburg, S.C., died Jan. 22.
Meredith travelled around the world twice, was a guest of the Shah of Iran, and of the President of the United States in the White House. Walt Disney made a movie about her. She was salutatorian of her graduating class from Polk County High School.
Survivors include siblings, Virgie McIntyre, Wilma Peercy, Mary Lucille Andrews, Shufford Mahaffey; and niece, Markita Andrews Rogers. Services will be Jan. 26, at Melvin Hill Church of the Brethren in Columbus.
