Mr. James Clayton Sparks “Jim” of Spindale died Jan. 17.

Surviving are his wife Phyllis H. Sparks of the home, stepson Damon Ammons (Jennifer) of Spartanburg, S.C.; grandsons, Coleman and William Ammons; brother Ray Sparks of Columbus; sister Linda S. Haire of Spindale; and three nephews.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 22, at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel in Rutherfordton.
