Is Armageddon near?

To the editor:
Armageddon, a final conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil, is an event that nobody ever wants to be associated with in their lifetime.
Unfortunately based on the evil events/activities associated with our federal government in just the past year, I believe that we could be facing an Armageddon in 2014.
Just look at some of things that have a majority of people upset: the IRS attack on conservative non-profit organizations, blatant lying associated with trying to further the Democratic party legislative agenda, the lies and cover-up associated with the Benghazi attack and murders, the Afghanistan debacle with the endless loss of life with little to show for it, the continued use of Guantanamo Bay which Obama promised to close years ago, the attack on the coal industry, the NSA spying fiasco, the unrealistic delay on approving the northern oil pipeline, the attack on the second amendment, out of control spending with the national debt over $17 billion, an unrealistic calculation of CPI which is not even close to what the cost of living really is, a foreign policy that is making America the laughing stock of the free world with its “red-line” in the sand on Syria and Iran agreement, and last but not least Obamacare.
In addition I believe the American people are disgusted with this administration’s political correctness, lack of transparency, playing the race card to fend off detractors, continuous play on words (aka lying) and selecting political party agenda over the real needs of the American public.
There are a lot of angry people out there and it’s likely to get real ugly come the first of the year when people who were promised this Utopian health care system find out that they don’t have coverage or the cost is outrageous.
Millions of people have already lost health insurance they were satisfied with and are having to scramble to find coverage with little help from the government website, which is a national disgrace.
I think I have adequately defined the evil forces at work in America. But to truly have an Armageddon you need forces of good to fend off the evil-doers.
So who makes up the forces of good?
They are people just like you, me, tea party folks, independent voters, non-rhinos, and hopefully some Democratic party lever pullers who have come to their senses to do the right thing.
Hopefully this Armageddon will take place at the polling place. However with all the violence taking place by angry individuals who are just fed up with how they perceive they are being treated, it’s not unreasonable to assume that violence will easily accelerate if this administration doesn’t change it’s way of treating the public.
It’s not unreasonable to assume that the Obamacare debacle may be the final event to trigger a potential Armageddon, which might be more appropriately called an Obamageddon.
I hope it doesn’t come to that, but unless there’s a change in the mindset of the president, our country may never be the same.
