Tuba Christmas at PCHS Dec. 7

Published 9:59pm Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Columbus Mayor Eric McIntyre and Tuba Christmas Coordinator Manfred Walter met recently and shared thoughts about Tuba Christmas.

In addition to the stage of brass instruments to listen to, the audience will be given the opportunity to sing carols along with the instruments.

The singing will be led by Anna Marie Kuether; Kuether is the vocal teacher for Polk County middle and high School.

Kuether will also be accompanying Froy Barbosa, soloist from Western Carolina University, in a performance of “O Holy Night.”

The conductor will again be Dr. Bill Bryant. The event will be held at Polk County High School on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 1:30 p.m. for the 16th annual performance of Tuba Christmas in Columbus.
