Foothills Children’s Chorus to perform Christmas concert

Published 10:06pm Monday, December 2, 2013

The Foothills Children’s Chorus will perform a Christmas concert at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Sunnydale to kick off the tree-decorating and family festivities.

Directed by Tena Greene, the chorus is made possible through the generosity of the Polk County Community Foundation and a newly-created free community events grant.

The Foothills Children’s Chorus gives area youngsters, aged 8 – 13, the chance to engage in music, learn the foundations of singing, and most of all, have fun collaborating with their peers.

Come hear these hard-working kids sing before you join the Tryon Stroll, and then hang out by the fireplace and sing some more. There will be refreshments and a kids’ craft table.

Sunnydale is located at 334 South Trade Street in Tryon (next door to the Dollar General). Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the concert starting promptly at 6 p.m.
