How’s Business? Start ups are always slow, but I can see the need for a non-alcohol coffee pub for the entire family.  Our Internet cafe provides free terminals, or you may bring your own in.  We also sell Page Plus cell service, small gift items and we have a lending library. If you see a book that you like, take it and leave a book to replace it.
One thing I wish everyone knew about this business: The Pubs in Ireland are the center for activity in the Village. People come there to socialize, to hire a car, collect their post and to eat and drink.  I am trying to bring this Irish experience to Tryon. No one will leave the Coffee Pub as a stranger.
Something you offer that a customer won’t find elsewhere:  Authenic Irish atmosphere where everyone may enter as a stranger but will leave as a friend. “Real” hot and iced coffee, not sweet frou frou drinks with whipping creams, hot and iced tea, hot chocolate. Starbucks Refreshers, flavored waters, soft drinks, but most of all desserts that melt in your mouth.
Advice to young entrepreneurs: Treat your customers as friends and your friends will make your business grow.
My first job: Shoeshine boy on the streets of Belfast
Your role model: Joel Olsteen
key to a successful business: Treat everyone the same. Always be professional and never judge before you know the facts.
