Godlock 11th in state cross country

Polk County Wolverines sent three to the 2A Cross Country State Championships Saturday, Nov. 2 in Kernersville, N.C.

The lone female qualifier, freshman India Godlock, exceeded expectations finishing 11th overall with a personal best of 19:41.

Godlock’s time was a 20-second improvement from her career best. She nearly grabbed top 10 All-State honors. Sophomore Sean Doyle ran 17:02 placing 21st and senior Jacob Collins ran 17:14 and placed 29th in his final race as a Wolverine.  (photo submitted by Jenny Wolfe)
