WSPA-TV’s Crabtree to announce Veterans Day Parade

Tom Crabtree, popular news anchor at WSPA-TV, has volunteered to bring his talents to Columbus to announce the 2013 Veterans Day parade.

Award-winning announcer Crabtree will narrate the parade as it passes the reviewing stand, which will be located on Ward Street directly across from the Veterans Memorial Park.

Invited to share the reviewing stand along with Crabtree will be State Representative Chris Whitmire, Polk County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners Michael Gage, Mayor of Columbus Eric McIntyre and several notable and worthy local veterans.

The parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

A Veterans Day memorial service will begin at the Veterans Memorial Park shortly after the parade has terminated.

Spectators are encouraged to wear their red, white and blue and to bring their American flags.
