Carswell inducted into Second Wind Hall of Fame

Published 4:48pm Monday, October 7, 2013

During Carswell’s professional career, she was the Polk County Schools finance officer and later served as administrative assistant to the Polk County School Superintendent and Board of Education for a total of 38 years. Following retirement from the school system, she worked nine years as administrative assistant for Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry.

She is married to Buster Carswell and they have two children.

The mission of the Second Wind Hall of Fame is to provide recognition for those retirees whose outstanding volunteer work in area organizations exemplifies that retirement need not be the end of productive life of service to their community.  It is truly a Second Wind of opportunity to serve mankind. If you know of someone that is retired, 60 years old or over, and has volunteered in three different organizations for at least three years, they are eligible to be considered for the Second Wind Hall of Fame.
