A first of its kind event for Saluda on Thursday, Oct. 10, the University of South Carolina’s Music Department and Historic Thompson’s Store will bring an evening of savoir faire to the Back Alley Deck and Boarding House Venue in the form of a Back Alley Opera & Dinner.

With enthusiastic assistance from Tim Driggers of Columbia, professor, and Walter Cuttino of the School of Music at USC, they have agreed to bring a duo of talented soloists to Saluda for an evening of opera arias and Broadway favorites.

The songs will be interspersed between courses of the meal. The food will be catered by the highly popular Saluda Grade Café. Choices of entrees are pork and chicken.
