Richard Kimpton

Richard Granville Kimpton, 74, of Moore St., died July 10, 2013.

A native of Montana, he was a son of the late George and Mary Cecil Smoot Kimpton, a retired employee of Homelite, a member of El Bethel Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Angela Vaughn Kimpton of Greer; two daughters, Laura Ann Kimpton of Taylors and Cindy Arledge of Tryon; three sons, Jason Kimpton of Tryon, and Andrew Stephens and Richard A. Kimpton both Greer; two brothers, Thomas E. Kimpton of Knoxville, Tenn. and William T. Kimpton of Seneca; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased also by a brother, Allen W. Kimpton.

Visitation was held from 4-5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at The Wood Mortuary.
