Summer is in full swing, and despite a somewhat soggy start, the local fruit stands and farmers markets are bursting with wonderful, local fruits and vegetables.

Come celebrate summer with Slow Food Foothills at their July potluck at the Orchard Inn in Saluda. The potluck will be Sunday, July  21 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Those attending are asked once again to bring their own place settings and a description of their dish noting anything local. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the inn.

The Orchard Inn (www.orchardinn.com) innkeepers Marianne and Mark Blazar are graciously opening their doors and their grounds for this convivial gathering that honors the bounty of local farms, orchards and pastures and the breathtaking beauty of summer in the mountains.
