Published 10:53am Friday, May 3, 2013

Join SCLT for an open house at Twin Lakes, May 26 from noon-5 p.m. and see how the work at the lakes is coming along! SCLT’s board members are: Nancy Barnett – president; Don Clapp – vice president; Chris Young – treasurer; Carolyn Ashburn – secretary; Nora Parks Anderson, Debbie Hahn, Dave Prudhomme, Elena Robison and John Savage.

Art Notes: Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the Saluda Arts Festival on May 18. Live music, art, and fun in our small town with a big heart! There’ll be great food from local restaurants available: so plan on spending the whole day with us.

Happy May Birthday to Amy Copeland, Corinne Gerwe, Mark Jackson, Cary Pace, Lisa Hipp, Trevor Young, Jemme Latell, Paul Marion, Joe Brown, Jesse Thomas, Margaret Sease and Lynn Cass. Please add your birthday to the list!

Thank you, dear readers for reading this column; as Walter Cronkite closed his  evening news cast every night with “And that’s the way it is,” I like to always close off  by saying  thank you each and every time! Thank you for often letting me know you enjoy (or at least read!) this column.
