To the editor:

First of all let me say I am a Christian and love God. I also love my country and Polk County. I have lived in Polk County for 77 years except for two years I gave to Uncle Sam.  Lots of people have not lived in Polk this long, so they may not know what they are talking about.

Now, I have served on many Polk County boards, including county commissioner. When my time was served I went home and let the new boards run the county. I kept my mouth closed and only spoke of county business when asked.

Why can Mrs. McDermott not do this? Does she not know the people voted her out?
