Discovering the Golden Egg

Published 3:52 pm Monday, April 1, 2013

Brookwood Park was the place to be Saturday for the Easter Egg hunt. Five year old twins, Amber and Donny Scholl arrived with their empty Easter baskets ready. Landrum Police Sgt. Greg Irwin was on duty to assist with the expected crowd. Joining in the fun Sgt. Irwin decided to put five $1 bills inside a plastic egg and placed a golden Junior Policeman seal on it. When Donny found it and put it in his basket, his Dad pointed out the special egg and told Donny to open it. Both Donny and Sgt. Irwin now have a special moment to remember.
