Doris Stott Steadman

Doris Stott Steadman, 80, of Landrum passed away March 19, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Broadus Correll and Edna Mae McSwain Stott and widow of Earl Lee Steadman.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher of the ladies Sunday school class and was the church clerk. She was retired from South Carolina Elastic.

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Denton (Wayne) and Sheila Rhoden (Keith); a brother, Alfred Stott (Dorothy); two sister in laws, Annette and Doris Stott; four grandchildren, Jason Denton (Crystal), Melena Cochran (Chris), Megan Rhoden and Landon Rhoden; and two great-grandchildren, John and Aaden Denton.

She was predeceased by a son, Rickie Steadman; and three brothers, Russell, Wayne and Leon Stott and special friend Richard Gardner.

The family received friends March 21 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held March 22 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Richard Brown and Rev. Gary Lockee. Burial was in the church cemetery.
