Fincher is Gold Duster, makes dean’s list

Alyssa Fincher, daughter of Trey and Missy Fincher, was recently named to the dean’s list at the

University of North Carolina Charlotte for the fall semester.

Fincher received a 3.6 in her first semester at UNC-Charlotte,  where she is a dance major. To be eligible for dean’s list a full-time student must earn a grade point average between 3.40 and 3.79 in 12 or more semester hours of credit graded A, B, or C with no grade less than C.

Fincher also auditioned and made the dance team for Charlotte, the Gold Dusters. The Gold Dusters dance for the men’s and women’s home basketball games. They do a variety of styles of dance including  jazz, contemporary and hip-hop. Fincher and the Gold Dusters are currently rehearsing for the national competition to be held in April in Daytona Beach, Fla.
