Tryon police investigating counterfeit check passing at IGA

Tryon Police Department is investigating the passing of a counterfeit check. It occurred at the IGA grocery store in Tryon where the fraudulent check was tendered for goods. The unidentified suspect came into the store with a check that had been replicated from a local business on an account that did not exist.

Anyone who knows who the individual pictured or may have information regarding the case is asked to contact the Tryon Police Department at (828) 859-9195.
