Polk district court results

Feb. 25, 2013 session:

In Polk County District Court held Feb. 25, 2013 with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 163 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

William Raymond Allen was convicted of speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. Allen was fined 92 and court costs.

Steven Bryan Cavender was convicted of driving while license revoked and failure to appear on misdemearnor. Cavender was sentenced to 27 days in jail with credit for 27 days served and court costs.

Calvin Edward Clark was convicted of speeding 93 mph in a 65 mph zone. Clark was fined $93 and court costs.

Morales Jose Corona was convicted of no operator’s license. Corona was fined $50 and court costs.

Richard Reid Daniels was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Daniels was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.

Isam Abdelgalil Fadul was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Fadul was fined $40 and court costs.

Marie E. Greenholtz was convicted of unsafe movement. Greenholtz was fined $50 and court costs.

Venu Gopal Gudur was convicted of speeding 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Gudur was fined $90 and court costs.

Cody Eugene McDowell was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. McDowell was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Michael Patrick Park was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Park was fined $40 and court costs.

Heidi Michelle Pick was convicted of speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. Pick was fined $92 and court costs.

Thomas Louis Sinclair was convicted of operating a vehicle with impaired equipment and designated truck route violation. Sinclair was fined $40 and court costs.

Timothy P. Smith was convicted of speeding 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Smith was fined $90 and court costs.

Lavinia Mikel Thaxton was convicted of speeding 93 mph in a 65 mph zone. Thaxton was fined $93 and court costs.

James R. Washington was convicted of driving while license revoked and speeding 102 mph in a 65 mph zone. Washington was fined $250 and court costs.

In Polk County District Court held Feb. 27, 2013 with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 104 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Timothy M. Arrowood was convicted of speeding 100 mph in a 65 mph zone. Arrowood was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Derrick Bishop was convicted of hunting without a license. Bishop was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $35 fine and court costs.

Malcolm Dwayne Hannon was convicted of probation violation. Hannon’s probation as revoked.
