The Polk County Democratic Party will hold its annual precinct organizational meetings during the week of March 3.

Annual precinct meetings are required by the North Carolina Democratic Party Plan of Organization.

“Precincts are the most important element of our organization,” said county party chair Margaret Parker. “These meetings allow any registered Democrat residing in the precinct to become involved in the political process and have a voice in the direction of the Party.”

Meetings will be held at the following locations and dates:

Monday, March 4 

Saluda Precinct 4 will meet at 7 p.m. upstairs at the Saluda Library.

Tryon Precinct 1-2-3 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Harmon Field Cabin.

Tuesday, March 5 

Coopers Gap Precinct 5 will meet at 7 p.m. at Sunny View Elementary School.

White Oak Precinct 6 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Mill Spring Fire Department.

Columbus Precincts 7 and 8 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Democratic Headquarters.

Green Creek Precinct 9 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Green Creek Fire Department.
