
- The Rotary Club of Tryon is pleased to announce that Mary Owens became the newest member of the club in a recent ceremony. Owens comes to Tryon from Barnesville, Ga. where she served as superintendent of the Lamar County School System. In addition, she is a former Rotarian. The members of the local Rotary Club welcome Owens to Tryon. Frank Ortiz was her sponsor and is pictured with Owens, Club President Carol Jackson and Grant Hollett.
