On Tuesday Feb. 19, Polk County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested Anthony Kyle Biggs, 44, of 1620 Green Creek Drive Columbus and charged him  with one count of second-degree sexual offense with a minor, one count of indecent liberties with a minor and one count of crimes against nature.

The investigation of this case began in January after an incident report was filed in reference to possible sexual allegations of a minor.

Officers said the allegations came from a female who told investigators that sexual assaults were made over several years. The incidences allegedly occurred when the victim was under the age of 13. The N.C. State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) assisted in the investigation.

Biggs was arrested and taken to the Polk County Detention Facility where he was given a $20,000 secure bond.
