Tornado warning for Landrum area

The National Weather Service in Greenville-spartanburg has issued a Tornado Warning for: Southeastern Polk County in western North Carolina. South Central Rutherford County in western North Carolina. Northeastern Greenville County In Upstate South Carolina. Northern Spartanburg County In Upstate South Carolina.

  • Until 6:00 pm EST.
  • At 5:21 pm EST, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado. This storm was located near Lake Robinson, or 14 miles south of Columbus, and moving east at 40 mph.
