30-years of Hospice experience

Jean Eckert has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care (TCC).

As part of a 14-member board, Eckert will serve a three-year term.

TCC President and CEO David Stone said he was happy to have Eckert on the board again; she previously served in the early 1990s.

“I am excited about having Jean come back on the board to provide leadership in these interesting times for hospice and palliative care services,” Stone said.

With offices in Cary, N.C. and Columbia, S.C., TCC began in 1977 and is a two-state association representing more than 100 hospice providers in North and South Carolina. The organization provides support to local hospice programs through technical assistance, education, and advocacy in the state legislatures, state regulatory bodies and Congress. Hospice care is currently available in each of the 146 counties in North and South Carolina.

“I am happy to lend my energy and experience as a 30-year hospice worker,” said Eckert, “to champion the highest quality end-of-life care for all citizens of the two states that our Hospice organization serves.”
