Cheapen Morris

To the editor:

A saddle with advertising would cheapen Morris. He represents a standard for our town.

Keep him dignified.

Morris, AKA The Tryon Horse, has been a billboard for Tryon Riding & Hunt Club, as well as The Tryon Toy Makers since his was built in the early 1900s.

For 85 years he has promoted horse shows, Any and All Dog Show and thousands of Tryon area events.

Morris is proud to promote local events!

To have Saint Luke’s Hospital have a banner to get a bio/neurotoxic flu shot or an ad for car tires would be low-brow and cheap… but to promote LOCAL EVENTS is perfect for Morris and what he’s done, all his life!

A banner draped over or a wood sign sawhorse (baby Morris) is what Morris has done since 1928.
